Managing Editor Training Contract

ALE is offering a competitive training contract to outstanding students in the fields of translation, editing, English literature, language, or creative writing (or advanced students in other fields with a penchant for writing) with excellent editing skills. 

During the paid training period we will teach you our unique approach to editing. You will learn how to proofread and edit academic and other texts, as well as receive hands-on training to become an ALE managing editor. You will learn how to evaluate texts, manage a broad range of projects, and ensure quality. Following this 2-month paid training period, successful participants will join our team as a managing editor.

Aptitude for project management

Outstanding writing skills

Academic studies relevant to language and editing

Experience in academic writing and editing 


The Details

65-100% time

Time commitment: 1 year contract following training
